Once Upon a Sketch lay-out

It's March already! Spring is in the air, the days are getting longer and the sun is shining more often. But the beginning of March also means that it's time for a new challenge at Once Upon a Sketch. Nadia has come up with yet another amazing sketch and inspiring journaling prompt. The theme for this challenge is "It's Weekend!" and this is what the beautiful sketch looks like:

Maart is inmiddels gearriveerd. De lente komt eraan, de dagen worden weer langer en de zon gaat hopelijk binnenkort weer zijn werk doen. Heerlijk na deze lange koude winter!

Maar het begin van maart betekent ook dat het tijd is voor een nieuwe uitdaging bij Once Upon a Sketch. Nadia heeft weer een prachtige sketch ontworpen en een inspirerende journalingopdracht. Het thema voor deze uitdaging is "It's weekend!" en dit is de bijbehorende sketch:

Here's my example for this challenge. I decided to scrap about my grandparents. Since I was a little child, I have always loved visiting them and it became kind of a tradition for our family to visit them each Sunday. Actually it's kind of an exception if we don't make it on Sunday. Me and my brothers have reached the age now that we also like to spend time with friends during the weekend, so I don't see them each weekend anymore. But when I see them, I still enjoy their company as much as I did when I was a little child.

I have journaled about this Sunday tradition on the backside of my lay-out. 

Dit is mijn voorbeeld voor de wedstrijd. Op de foto staan dit keer mijn opa en oma. Al zo lang als ik me kan herinneren, gaan wij bijna elke zondag bij mijn opa en oma langs. Het is zelfs in zoverre een traditie dat we niet meer bellen om te vragen of we kunnen langskomen, maar juist bellen als we een keer niet kunnen komen op zondag ;) Nu ik en mijn broertjes iets ouder zijn en ook graag dingen doen met vrienden, zie ik ze niet meer elke zondag. Maar als ik naar hen toe ga, geniet ik daar nog even veel van als 15 jaar geleden.

With this lay-out I am also playing along with the new Color Stories Inspiration challenge. Just at the moment I was working on the Once Upon a Sketch challenge, I saw their new inspiration board. It suited my lay-out just perfectly, so I decided to follow their challenge rules as well. 

Met deze lay-out doe ik ook mee met de nieuwe Color Stories Inspiration wedstrijd. Net op het moment dat ik aan mijn lay-out bezig was, zag ik hun nieuwe inspiratiebord online staan. En dat bleek perfect te passen bij het idee dat ik voor de lay-out in mijn hoofd had.
