Spring Card with Authentique Eastertime

Hi! 

Are you in the mood for spring already? I'm really looking forward to the spring season and therefore decided to make a spring card with Authentique's new Eastertime collection. This is what I made with these wonderful papers.

Heb jij al zin in de lente? Ik kijk er onwijs naar uit en besloot daarom om alvast een lentekaartje te maken met de Authenitque Eastertime collectie. Deze kaart maakte ik met dit mooie papier.

The lovely resin frame and wood owls and mushrooms are from a Dutch dollar store. For the tag and the framed image, I used images from the Eastertime sticker sheet.

Het mooie resin frame en de houten uiltjes en paddestoelen komen van Action. Voor de tag en het plaatje in het frame gebruikte ik afbeeldingen van het Eastertime stickervel.

Seafarer Card for Authentique

It's Monday, so time for a new week and for a new card as well :) 

Today I would like to show you a card I made with the brand new Authentique Seafarer collection. This nautical collection is truly wonderful and has so many possibilities. I love it!

Het is weer maandag en dus tijd voor een nieuwe week en ook voor een nieuwe kaart vandaag :)

Ik maakte onderstaande kaart met de mooie Authentique Seafarer collectie. Deze maritieme lijn is zo mooi en heeft heel veel mogelijkheden. Wat mij betreft een nieuwe favoriete collectie!

I used the papers, stickers and die-cuts from this collection and of course did a lot of layering as well.

Ik heb voor deze kaart papier, stickers en die-cuts gebruikt en heb uiteraard ook weer veel met laagjes gewerkt. Dat blijf ik leuk vinden om te doen!

Great Day (More Than Words Mini Challenge)

When I saw Authentique's new Wintery collection, I immediately knew I wanted to make a winter card with it. I also decided to participate in the More Than Words mini challenge and thus incorporated the word 'Day' in my card as well. This is what the final result looked like:

Toen ik Authentiques nieuwe Wintery collectie zag, wist ik meteen dat ik daarmee een winters kaartje wilde maken. Ook besloot ik mee te doen aan de mini challenge bij More Than Words en verwerkte ik dus het woord 'Day' in mijn kaart. Het eindresultaat zag er als volgt uit:

I used both the papers and the stickers and die-cuts from the Wintery collection on my card. The other embellishments are from Bo Bunny and ScrapBerry's.

Ik heb zowel het papier als de bijpassende stickers en die-cuts uit de Wintery collectie op mijn kaart verwerkt. De andere embellishments zijn van Bo Bunny en ScrapBerry's.

Two Christmas Cards for Authentique

Today I have a new blogpost up on the Authentique blog and I made two Christmas cards with their two brand new Christmas collections. I think that Authentique definitely makes some of the very best Christmas collections and I had so much fun playing with them.

Vandaag staat er een nieuwe blogpost van mij op de Authentique blog en ik besloot daarvoor twee kerstkaarten te maken met de nieuwe kerstlijnen. Ik vind dat Authentique altijd de meest prachtige kerstlijnen uitbrengt en ook die van dit jaar vormen daar zeker geen uitzondering op.

My first card features the wonderful Classic Christmas papers and stickers.

Authentique Felicity Lay-Out

Today I will show you a lay-out I made for the Authentique blog with the wonderful Carefree collection. It's a lay-out about my mother with lots of sunny colours and details.

Ik hoop dat jullie een fijn weekend hebben.

Vandaag heb ik een lay-out te laten zien die ik voor de Authentique blog heb gemaakt met de mooie Carefree collectie. Het is een lay-out over mijn moeder met veel zonnige kleuren en details.

I cut out a few butterflies from the "Six" paper, both the 12x12" and the 6x6" version of it. I also embellished my lay-out with two pieces of corrugated cardboard, two flowers, resin embellishments and a charm.

Ik heb een aantal vlinders uitgeknipt uit het "Six" papier, zowel uit de grote als uit de kleine vellen. Ook heb ik mijn lay-out met twee stukjes karton, twee bloemen, resin embellishments en een bedeltje versierd.

Back to School Cards for Authentique

It's (almost) time to go back to school! Well, not for me actually, because I just graduated from Uni ;) But I still couldn't resist creating a couple of back to school cards. I made these two cards for the Authentique blog and used their wonderful Studious collection. Don't you just love the adorable vintage images in these papers?

Het is (bijna) tijd om weer naar school te gaan. Of nou ja, ik zal zelf niet in de schoolbanken te vinden zijn in september, omdat ik net ben afgestudeerd ;) Toch kon ik het niet laten om een paar kaartjes in 'back to school'-thema te maken. Deze twee kaarten heb ik gemaakt voor de Authentique blog met hun mooie Studious collectie. Zijn de schattige vintage plaatjes in deze papierlijn niet enig?

I used the 6x6" paper pad and the cardstock sticker sheet for this card. I framed the sticker of the boy and the girl with a chipboard frame to turn it into the central element on my card. I also cut out a bird and two stars from the papers to further decorate my card.

Voor de eerste kaart heb ik de paper pad van 15x15 cm en het bijpassende stickervel gebruikt. De sticker van het schoolgaande jongetje en meisje heb ik omlijst met een chipboard frame. Ten slotte heb ik een vogel en twee sterren uitgeknipt om mijn kaart verder mee te versieren.

My second card has more or less the same design. I used different layers of papers and framed a vintage image in the middle of my card. This time I used two wood birds as a finishing touch.

Mijn tweede kaart is op min of meer dezelfde manier vormgegeven: wederom gebruikte ik verschillende laagjes papier en zie je in het midden van mijn kaart een omlijste afbeelding. Dit keer versierde ik mijn kaart met twee houten vogels.

Relax (Authentique Paper & My Creative Sketches)

A few weeks ago I showed you a Christmas card I made with Authentique's wonderful Classic Christmas collection. But did you know that you can also use this collection for non-Christmas projects? Today I will show you a lay-out I made with this collection about our kitty Beertje. It is based upon the current sketch over at My Creative Sketches.

Een paar weken geleden liet ik al een kerstkaart zien die ik had gemaakt met Authentique's mooie Classic Christmas collectie. Maar wist je dat je deze lijn ook goed kunt gebruiken voor creaties zonder een kersttintje? Vandaag laat ik een lay-out zien die ik met deze collectie heb gemaakt over onze poes Beertje. Deze lay-out is gebaseerd op de sketch van My Creative Sketches.

I stuck pretty close to the sketch, but I only used one picture instead of two pictures. I replaced the stars in the sketch by a row of chipboard gears.

Ik heb de sketch best wel nauwkeurig gevolgd, maar heb wel één in plaats van twee foto's gebruikt. De sterren in de sketch heb ik vervangen door een rij chipboard tandwielen.

As you can see, I used quite a lot of layers on my lay-out. I used mainly red and green papers from the Classic Christmas collection, because I thought they matched my photo quite well.

Zoals je kunt zien, heb ik veel gebruik gemaakt van laagjes. Ik heb vooral rood en groen papier uit de Classic Christmas lijn gebruikt, omdat ik die kleuren goed bij mijn foto vond passen.

Authentique Fabulous Card

The feminine style is one of my favourites, so I was positively surprised when I saw Authentique's beautiful Fabulous collection. This collection consists of blue, pink and red papers with the most wonderful ladies and flowers printed on them. I used some of these papers and the coordinating sticker sheet to create this card.

De romantische scrapstijl is één van mijn favorieten. Ik werd dan ook erg blij van Authentique's nieuwe "Fabulous" collectie. Deze lijn bestaat uit het meest prachitge blauw, roze en rode papier met dessins van retro vrouwen en bloemen. Met een aantal vellen papier en het stickervel uit deze lijn maakte ik onderstaande kaart. 

I cut out the bracket shapes with the Sizzix Labels Fancy dies set and used them for the background of my card. The memo card, the retro lady and the sentiments are all stickers from Authentique's Fabulous sticker sheet. 

De accoladevormen heb ik uitgestanst met de Sizzix Labels Fancy mallen en heb ik gebruikt om een achtergrond voor mijn kaart te creëren. De memokaart, retro lady en de teksten zijn allemaal stickers van het Authentique Fabulous stickervel.

Christmas with Authentique

Christmas is still far away, but I simply couldn't wait to play with Authentique's brand new Christmas collections. Today I have a card to share that I made with the gorgeous Classic Christmas collection.

Kerst laat nog even op zich wachten, maar ik kon het niet laten al met Authentique's nieuwe kerstlijnen aan de slag te gaan. Daarom heb ik vandaag een kaart te laten zien met de mooie Classic Christmas collectie.

I used papers from the 6x6" paper pad for my background design. The two tags in the middle of my card were cut out from one of the 12x12" sheets. 

Voor mijn kaart zelf heb ik papier gebruikt uit de paper pad van 15x15 centimeter. De twee tags heb ik geknipt uit één van de grotere vellen.

My card is based upon this wonderful sketch over at the Mojo Monday blog. 

Mijn kaart is gebaseerd op deze mooie sketch van Mojo Monday.

I cut out a scalloped circle from one of the gingham papers and lifted it by adhering cardboard behind it. 

De cirkel met geschulpte randen is uitgestanst en heb ik verhoogd door er karton achter te plakken.

Authentique Carefree & Sizzix Card

This week I enjoyed a bit of playtime with the gorgeous Authentique Carefree collection and several Sizzix dies. This is the card that I made.

Deze week ben ik heerlijk aan het 'spelen' geweest met Authentique's Carefree collectie en een aantal Sizzix mallen. Dit is de kaart die ik maakte. 

I used the wonderful Festive Scribbles Thinlits to cut out the two circles in the corners of my card. For the branch in the right upper corner, I used the Thinlits Back to Nature dies. I also tucked a tag behind the branch, which I cut out with the Framelits Die Set Tag Collection. For my sentiment, I used the Thinlits Die Set Tag & Phrases. Finally, I punched two butterflies with the Paper Punch Butterfly Large. I also hand cut two butterflies from the papers and attached them on top of the punched butterflies for a dimensional look.

Ik gebruikte de Festive Scribbles Thinlits om de twee cirkels in de hoeken van mijn kaart uit te stansen. Voor de tak in de rechterbovenhoek gebruikte ik de Thinlits Back to Nature dies. Achter de tak heb ik een tag geschoven, die ik heb uitgestanst met de Framelits Die Set Tag Collection. Voor de tekst op mijn kaart gebruikte ik de Thinlits Die Set Tag & Phrases. Ten slotte heb ik nog twee vlinders uitgeponst met de Paper Punch Butterfly Large. Ik heb de twee kleinste vlinders met de hand uitgeknipt en die op de geponste vlinders geplakt om ze een 3D-effect te geven.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

It's my mother's birthday today. I won't tell her age, because I know she doesn't like me doing that ;) But it's her birthday, so she deserves a handmade card! This is the card that I made for her using gorgeous Authentique "Devoted" papers and Sizzix dies. 

Het is vandaag mijn moeders verjaardag. Haar leeftijd vertel ik maar niet, want mijn moeder vind het niet zo fijn dat de grote 50 steeds dichterbij komt ;) Maar goed, het is haar verjaardag en dat verdient een zelfgemaakte kaart! Deze kaart maakte ik voor haar met prachtig papier uit de Authentique "Devoted" lijn en mallen van Sizzix.

I first cut out three tickets in different sizes with the Framelits Die Set Tickets. After that, I cut out a honeycomb pattern with the Frameworks Die Honeycomb and attached that in the middle of my card. I further decorated my card with a title, which I cut out with the Thinlits Die Set Tag & Phrases , and several hearts. For the hearts, I used the Bigz Die Heartfelt.

Strawberries & Authentique

Hi!

This winter we went to a food market in Valencia and they offered some of the most beautiful and delicious fruit. Of course I had to take tons of pictures, including this picture of some strawberries that we saw. I finally found the perfect papers to scrap it when I got my hands on Authentique's "Cheerful" collection. This is the lay-out I made with that wonderful collection.

Deze winter zijn we in Valencia naar een markt geweest, waar ze de meest goed uitziende soorten fruit verkochten, waaronder deze aardbeien. Natuurlijk kon mijn camera tijdens dit bezoekje niet thuis blijven. Deze foto van de aardbeien lag ondertussen al een tijdje te wachten om gescrapt te worden en in Authentique's "Cheerful" collectie heb ik daar eindelijk het perfecte papier voor gevonden. Ik maakte er deze lay-out mee.

Felicity Card for Authentique

Have you seen Authentique's brand new "Felicity" collection yet? It's a wonderful range of blue and yellow papers with many beautiful butterflies printed on them. This is a card I made for the Authentique blog with this collection.

Heb je Authentique's nieuwe "Felicity" lijn al gezien? Het is een mooie blauw/gele papierlijn met prachtige vlinderdessins. Hierbij een kaartje dat ik met deze lijn heb gemaakt voor de Authentique blog. 

The lovely image in the centre and the butterflies were both cut out from the papers. I just love the nostalgic images in this collection.

Zowel het plaatje in het midden als de vlinders zijn uit het papier geknipt. Ik vind de nostalgische afbeeldingen in deze lijn prachtig.

Dearest Mom with Authentique Paper

I have been following Ulrika's blog for quite some time now and I simply love her beautiful creations. This month she has created a wonderful sketch to celebrate that she has been scrapping for 10 years now and I simply couldn't resist creating a lay-out based on it. It's a lay-out about my dear mother featuring gorgeous papers from Authentique Paper. 

Ik volg Ulrika's blog al een tijdje en ik ben helemaal weg van haar prachtige creaties. Deze maand heeft ze een leuke sketch op haar blog staan om te vieren dat ze alweer 10 jaar scrapt. Ik kon het niet laten om daar een lay-out mee te maken. Het werd dit keer een lay-out over mijn moeder met prachtige papier van Authentique Paper.

The papers are from Authentique's Nestled collection. I just love the warm colours of this collection.

Het papier komt uit Authentique's "Nestled" lijn. Ik ben helemaal weg van de warme kleuren in deze lijn.

This is the beautiful sketch upon which my lay-out is based.

I created a few clusters of Petaloo flowers and also used a wonderful chipboard banner from Bo Bunny's "The Avenues" collection.

Ik heb een paar clusters Petaloo bloemen gecreëerd en heb verder een leuke chipboard vlaggetjeslijn van Bo Bunny gebruikt in de hoek van mijn layout.

Today I have some exciting news to share with you, at least for me. From today on, I'm a design team member for Authentique Paper! I'm so excited about it, because I absolutely love their papers.

As you can see, these beautiful Petaloo flowers match the Authentique papers just perfectly. I created the blue flower myself by stapling several 'texture layers' flowers on top of each other. 

Zoals je kunt zien, passen de Petaloo bloemen perfect bij het papier van Authentique. De blauwe bloem heb ik overigens zelf gemaakt door verchillende 'texture layers' bloemen op elkaar te stapelen.

Excellent Card

I hardly ever make boy cards, so I thought it was about time to make one.

Met deze lay-out doe ik tevens mee aan de huidige challenge bij Dusty Attic. Ik liet me inspireren door hun mood board bij het maken van mijn lay-out. Zowel de pauwenveer als het vogeltje zijn chipboard figuren van Dusty Attic.
