MEOW Lay-Out (for Creative Embellishments)

Last week it was International Cat Day. In order to honour our own two four-legged furry friends I decided to create a lay-out about our adorable kitty Beertje. Creative Embellishments offers a few wonderful chipboard cats and I also used a few other chipboard pieces of theirs to create this tribute to our cat. Afgelopen week was het Internationale Kattendag. Speciaal voor onze eigen Beertje maakte ik deze lay-out. Creative Embellishments heeft recent een aantal leuke chipboard katten uitgebracht, die perfect bij mijn foto pasten. Ook gebruikte ik een paar andere chipboardfiguren van Creative Embellishments om mijn lay-out verder mee te versieren. Today I would like to show you a blue/yellow lay-out I made for a publication in Simply Cards & Papercraft some time ago. I just love this funny photo of my niece and scrapped it with the Bo Bunny Genevieve collection.

Vandaag heb ik een blauw/gele lay-out te laten zien die ik voor een publicatie in Simply Cards & Papercraft heb gemaakt. Ik vind dit zo'n leuke foto van mijn nichtje Elise en scrapte hem met de Bo Bunny Genevieve collectie.

All papers and embellishments are from Bo Bunny, except from the the resin seagull. I also used lots of punchwork and paper tearing. 

Alle papier en embellishments zijn van Bo Bunny, behalve de resin meeuw. Ik heb verder veel gebruikgemaakt van ponswerk en scheuren.

Another Secret Garden Lay-Out

A few weeks ago I already shared a Secret Garden lay-out that I made with you. Today I will show you another lay-out I made with this wonderful Bo Bunny collection. It was published in Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine.

Een paar weken geleden liet ik een Secret Garden layout zien die ik had gemaakt. Vandaag heb ik nog een lay-out te laten zien die ik met deze prachtige Bo Bunny lijn maakte. Hij is al een tijdje geleden gepubliceerd in Simply Cards & Papercraft. 

I used lots of layers, punching and stamping on this lay-out. All the pretty doilies were cut out from the papers with a Cheery Lynn die.

Ik heb op mijn lay-out veel met laagjes, ponsen en stempels gewerkt. Alle leuke doilis heb ik uitgestanst uit het papier met een mal van Cheery Lynn.

Fly Away (Bo Bunny Publication)

Some time ago I had a few lay-outs published in the British Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine. I had lots of fun working with Bo Bunny's lovely Secret Garden collection. This is one of the spring-themed lay-outs that I made. The girl in the picture is a friend of mine.

Een tijdje geleden zijn er een paar lay-outs van mij gepubliceerd in het Engelse Cards & Papercraft Magazine. Ik heb daarvoor heerlijk gewerkt met Bo Bunny's mooie Secret Garden lijn. Dit is een van de lente-achtige lay-outs die ik voor de publicatie maakte. Op de foto staat een vriendin, Jolanda.

As you can see, I did lots of punching and layering on my lay-out. I also embellished my lay-out with a few chipboard shapes and some doilies. 

Zoals je kunt zien, heb ik me op deze lay-out weer flink uitgeleefd met laagjes en ponsen. Ook heb ik mijn lay-out verder versierd met chipboard figuren en een paar doilies.

Canvas + Tutorial

I always love watching video tutorials from other artists, but thus far I haven't made one myself yet. That was until I made the second round of the Bo Bunny design team call. One of the requirements for the second round was to make a video tutorial. Unfortunately I didn't make the Bo Bunny design team, but I still wanted to show you my video. 

For this video, I made the canvas below with the Butterfly Kisses collection and several mixed media. 

Ik vind het altijd leuk om video tutorials bij anderen te bekijken, maar had er tot nu toe nog nooit eentje zelf gemaakt. Tot nu toe, want voor de tweede ronde van de Bo Bunny design team call was de opdracht om een video tutorial te maken. Helaas ben ik uiteindelijk niet als design team lid gekozen, maar toch wil ik graag mijn video laten zien. 

Voor deze video heb ik onderstaande canvas gemaakt met de Butterfly Kisses collectie en verschillende mixed media.

Patchwork Lay-out with Bo Bunny 'Take a Hike'

For the second round of the Bo Bunny design team call I made a lay-out with the wonderful Take a Hike collection. Unfortunately, I eventually didn't make the design team, but I wanted to show you my lay-out anyway. 

Voor de tweede ronde van de design team call bij Bo Bunny maakte ik een lay-out met de mooie Take a Hike collectie. Helaas heb ik er het design team niet mee gehaald, maar ik besloot de lay-out desondanks te laten zien. 

I created a weave look by cutting out several strips of paper and 'weaving' them together. 

Ik heb een weefpatroon gecreëerd door een aantal repen papier uit te snijden en deze samen te 'weven'.

I also did quite a lot of stamping alongside the edges of my lay-out. The glitter leaves were made with a Stickable Stencil and copper glitter paste.

Ik heb ook veel gebruik gemaakt van stempelwerk langs de randen van mijn lay-out. De glitter blaadjes zijn gemaakt met een Stickable Stencil en koperkleurige glitterpasta.

Mixing Bo Bunny Soiree & Butterfly Kisses

I always love mixing and matching different collections and for Bo Bunny's Facebook page I mixed two of my favourite Bo Bunny collections: Soiree and Butterfly Kisses. This is the lay-out I made with these two collections and two photos of my little niece Elise. 

Ik vind het altijd leuk om verschillende papierlijnen te mengen en voor Bo Bunny's Facebook pagina combineerde ik twee van mijn favoriete Bo Bunny collecties: Soiree en Butterfly Kisses. Met twee foto's van mijn nichtje Elise maakte ik hiermee deze layout. 

When making this lay-out I was inspired by the wonderful sketch over at Scrap Africa.

Bij het maken van deze lay-out haalde ik inspiratie uit deze mooie sketch van Scrap Africa.

I also used several wonderful chipboard pieces from Bo Bunny's Butterfly Kisses collection, for instance to create the lovely banner below my photo.

Ook gebruikte ik een aantal chipboard figuren uit de Bo Bunny Butterfly Kisses collectie, bijvoorbeeld om de vlaggetjeslijn onder mijn foto te maken.

I fussy cut some of the butterflies from the papers and layered them on top of a few chipboard butterflies. I added a pearl in their centers and attached these butterflies on several empty spots on my lay-out.

Ik heb uit papier ook een aantal vlinder geknipt en heb deze op chipboard vlinder figuurtjes geplakt. Ik heb hier vervolgens een pareltje in het midden geplakt. De vlinders heb ik gebruikt om een aantal lege plekjes op mijn lay-out op te vullen.

Today's post is just a quick share of a lay-out that I made a few years ago, but forgot to share on my blog. It features the wonderful Bo Bunny Primrose collection and was published in Scrapbook Magazine UK. 

Vandaag even een snelle blogpost om een lay-out te laten zien die alweer een paar jaar oud is. Ik vergat hem steeds te laten zien op mijn blog. Voor deze lay-out gebruikte ik de mooie Bo Bunny Primrose collectie. De lay-out is ook verschenen in Scrapbook Magazine UK.

I did lots of layering on my lay-out with both papers and embellishments. I always love stapling emellishments on top of each other, because it gives your projects a more dimensional look. 

Ik heb veel gebruik gemaakt van laagjes op deze lay-out, zowel qua papier als qua embellishments. Ik vind het altijd heerlijk om verschillende embellishments op elkaar te stapelen, omdat je creaties er daardoor net iets meer 3D uitzien. 

This photo of me was taken in Rome back in 2013. I titled my lay-out "Home sweet home", because I always love going back home after a vacation. 

Deze foto van mij is genomen in Rome in 2013. Ik heb mijn lay-out de titel "Home sweet home" gegeven, omdat ik het stiekem altijd weer fijn vind om na een vakantie thuis te komen.

Two Firecracker Cards

Today I would like to show you two birthday cards I made with Bo Bunny's wonderful and very festive Firecracker collection. As you can see, this collection is not only perfect for 4th of July creations.

Vandaag heb ik twee verjaardagskaarten te laten zien die ik maakte met Bo Bunny's mooie en feestelijke Firecracker collectie. Zoals je kunt zien, leent deze collectie zich ook goed voor andere gelegenheden dan de 4th of July viering in Amerika.

For this card, I cut out two frames with the Lattice Frame dies and attached them onto my card with foamtape. I then decorated my card with chipboard stars, die-cut tickets and some pearls. I stamped the sentiment "Hi" on one of the tickets with the Sentiments stamps.

Voor deze kaart heb ik twee frames uitgestanst met de Lattice Frame dies en met foamtape op mijn kaart geplakt. Ik heb mijn kaart daarna verder versierd met chipboard sterren, die-cut tickets en een aantal parels. De tekst "Hi" is gestempeld op een van de tickets met de Sentiments stempels.

On my second card, I wanted to use a chipboard tag with a girl on it as an eye-catcher. I gave the girl a chipboard hat and created a banner with some chipboard flags.

Op mijn tweede kaart wilde ik de chipboard tag met meisje als eye-catcher gebruiken. Ik heb het meisje een chipboard hoed gegeven en heb er een vlaggetjeslijn omheen gemaakt.

Bo Bunny Sketch Challenge

Every month Bo Bunny is hosting a sketch challenge on their blog and this month is no exception. I was the lucky one who got to make an example lay-out for the July sketch challenge and here it is. It is a lay-out featuring the wonderful Take a Hike collection and a cute squirrle that we spotted in Central Park in New York.

Elke maand wordt er op het Bo Bunny blog een sketch challenge georganiseerd en deze maand is daar geen uitzondering op. Ik was deze maand de gelukkige die een voorbeeld voor de sketch challenge mocht maken en dat werd deze lay-out. Op mijn lay-out gebruikte ik de mooie Take a Hike collectie én een foto van een schattig eekhoorntje dat we in Central Park voorbij zagen rennen.

I was inspired by this wonderful sketch. As you can see, I replaced the two square photos by two Misc Me journal cards. 

Ik was geïnspireerd door onderstaande sketch. De twee vierkante foto's heb ik vervangen door twee Misc Me kaartjes.

I did some stamping in the corners of my lay-out. Just love these texture stamps! I also used Foil Transfer rub-ons to add a title to my lay-out. 

Je ziet hier wat stempelwerk in de hoeken van mijn lay-out. Ik vind deze textuurstempels van Bo Bunny zo leuk! Verder heb ik de Foil Transfer rub-ons gebruikt voor de titel "Lief" op mijn lay-out.

I also added a few chipboard embellishments as details on my lay-out.

Ook voegde ik een aantal chipboard embellishments toe als details op mijn lay-out.

Butterfly Kisses Cards

I hope your weekend has been wonderful so far. It has been a bit quiet on my blog the past few days, but today I'm back to share two Bo Bunny cards with you. I made them with the absolutely gorgeous Butterfly Kisses collection.

Ik hoop dat jullie een fijn weekend hebben. Het is de afgelopen dagen wat stil geweest op mijn blog, maar vandaag ben ik er weer om twee Bo Bunny kaarten met jullie te delen. Ik maakte ze allebei met de mooie Butterfly Kisses collectie.

When making this card, I was inspired by this wonderful moodboard over at Scrap Africa. I mainly drew inspiration from the wonderful colours in this image. 

Bij het maken van deze kaart liet ik me inspireren door het mooie moodboard van Scrap Afica. Ik haalde vooral inspiratie uit de prachtige zachte kleuren. 

I cut out two scalloped squares with the Love Squared dies and layered a chipboard embellishment on top of them. I also cut out two tags with the Nested Tags dies and incorporated them behind the squares.

Ik stanste twee geschulpte vierkanten uit papier met de Love Squared mallen en heb daar een chipboard embellishment op geplakt. Ook heb ik twee tags uitgestanst met de Nested Tags mallen. Deze heb ik achter de vierkanten geschoven. 

My second card is a vertical one. My main inspiration for this card came from the chipboard filmstrip. I cut out small pieces from different sheets of paper and used them to fill up the squares in the filmstrip. 

Mijn tweede kaart is een verticale kaart. Ik liet me bij deze kaart vooral inspireren door de chipboard filmstrip. Uit papier heb ik verschillende vierkantjes geknipt om hiermee de filmstrip op te vullen.

Two Cards for Bo Bunny

This weekend I did some scrapping with a dear friend. I made one card that I cannot yet show, but also two Bo Bunny cards that I can share with you today. I really love Bo Bunny's papers, especially because they release so many different kinds of collections. This time I worked with the Beautiful Dreamer and the Beach Therapy collection.

Dit weekend ben ik lekker aan het scrappen geweest met een vriendin. Ik maakte o.a. een kaartje dat ik nog niet kan laten zien, maar ook maakte ik twee Bo Bunny kaarten die ik al wel met jullie kan delen. Ik ben echt dol op Bo Bunny papier. Ik vind het vooral leuk dat ze zoveel verschillende soorten lijnen uitbrengen. Dit keer besloot ik te werken met de Beautiful Dreamer en de Beach Therapy collectie.

I used the beautiful Stained Textures stamps to create a vintage look on my background paper. I also used the Lattice Frame dies to create a nice backdrop for the hot-air balloon.

Ik gebruikte de Stained Textures stempels om mijn achtergrond een vintage uitstraling te geven. Ook gebruikte ik de Lattice Frame mallen om een achtergrond voor de luchtballon te creëren.

My second card is very summery and tropical and features the wonderful Beach Therapy collection. I just love the bright colours of these papers.

Mijn tweede kaart is zomers en tropisch. Ik gebruikte voor deze kaart de mooie Beach Therapy collectie. Zo'n mooi en vrolijke lijn papier!

Nestled in The Trees for Bo Bunny

I love the fact that Bo Bunny offers a wide variety of different collections. Last week I played with the gorgeous Butterfly Kisses collection and today I have a lay-out to share that I made with the awesome Take a Hike collection. 

Ik vind het geweldig dat Bo Bunny altijd veel verschillende lijnen uitbrengt met voor iedere foto wel iets toepasselijks. Vorige week ging ik nog aan de slag met de meisjesachtige Butterfly Kisses lijn en vandaag heb ik een meer stoere layout te laten zien met de gave Take a Hike collectie. 

The boy in the photo is my nephew Bernt. This photo of him was taken two years ago, but he actually looks much more like an adolescent right now. It's amazing to see how quickly boys can change in their teen years. 

De jongen op de foto is mijn neefje Bernt. Deze foto van hem is maar twee jaar geleden gemaakt, maar Bernt ziet er inmiddels totaal anders uit. Veel volwassener. Soms sta ik er echt versteld van hoe snel jongens in de puberteit veranderen qua uiterlijk. 

When making this lay-out, I drew inspiration from the sketch below over at Scrap the Boys. I was inspired by the design with three photo but decided to use one photo and two Misc Me journal cards.

Bij het maken van deze lay-out liet ik me inspireren door de sketch van Scrap the Boys. Ik haalde mijn inspiratie vooral uit het design met drie foto's. Twee foto's heb ik vervangen door Misc Me journal kaartjes. 

I used papers from the Take a Hike collection, as well as coordinating embellishments. Most embellishments that I used are from the chipboard and layered chipboard packages. 

Ik heb papier uit de Take a Hike collectie gebruikt, evenals bijpassende embellishments. De meeste embellishments komen uit het setje chipboard en 3D chipboard.

Firecracker Lay-Out for Bo Bunny

Bo Bunny has just released a fabulous new collection: "Firecrackers". This collection was actually designed for the 4th of July celebrations in the USA, but it's also perfect for many other occasions. I decided to use this collection to make a "Life is a party" lay-out. This photo of my dad and me was taken during our visit to Prague last week.

 Bo Bunny heeft net een hele gave nieuwe lijn uitgebracht: "Firecrackers". Deze lijn is oorspronkelijk bedoeld voor de "4th of July" festiviteiten in de VS, maar leent zich ook goed voor andere gelegenheden. Ik gebruikte de lijn om een "Het leen is een feestje" lay-out te maken. Deze foto van mijn vader en mij is vorig jaar genomen tijdens onze trip naar Praag.

I used many different layers of paper in different colours on this lay-out. I also added a die-cut banner and some pretty chipboard pieces.

Ik heb met verschillende laagjes papier in diverse kleuren gewerkt op deze lay-out. Ook heb ik een die-cut vlaggetjeslijn en een aantal chipboard figuren toegevoegd.

For some of the details on my lay-out, I used Bo Bunny stamps, stickable stencils and glitter paste. 

Voor een aantal details op mijn lay-out gebruikte ik Bo Bunny stempels, masks en glitterpasta.

When making this lay-out, I was inspired by this beautiful sketch over at the Scrap The Girls blog. I just loved all the different paper layers and the stars in the sketch.

Toy Box Gift Tags

Today I would like to show you three gift tags that I made for Bo Bunny. I used their Nested Tags dies and the adorable Toy Box collection to make them.

Vandaag kan ik drie cadeaukaartjes laten zie die ik heb gemaakt voor Bo Bunny. Ik gebruikte hiervoor de Nested Tags frames mallen en de leuke Toy Box collectie.

Ik heb langs een aantal laagjes papier zwarte strepen gezet met een zwarte Memento Marker. Ik heb de tags verder versierd met Layered Chipoard stickers en sterren die ik heb uitgestanst met de Twinkle Twinkle mal van Bo Bunny.

 I also added some pearls to the stars as a finishing touch.
