Authentique Carefree & Sizzix Card

Hi!

This week I enjoyed a bit of playtime with the gorgeous Authentique Carefree collection and several Sizzix dies. This is the card that I made.

Deze week ben ik heerlijk aan het 'spelen' geweest met Authentique's Carefree collectie en een aantal Sizzix mallen. Dit is de kaart die ik maakte. 

I used the wonderful Festive Scribbles Thinlits to cut out the two circles in the corners of my card. For the branch in the right upper corner, I used the Thinlits Back to Nature dies. I also tucked a tag behind the branch, which I cut out with the Framelits Die Set Tag Collection. For my sentiment, I used the Thinlits Die Set Tag & Phrases. Finally, I punched two butterflies with the Paper Punch Butterfly Large. I also hand cut two butterflies from the papers and attached them on top of the punched butterflies for a dimensional look.

Ik gebruikte de Festive Scribbles Thinlits om de twee cirkels in de hoeken van mijn kaart uit te stansen. Voor de tak in de rechterbovenhoek gebruikte ik de Thinlits Back to Nature dies. Achter de tak heb ik een tag geschoven, die ik heb uitgestanst met de Framelits Die Set Tag Collection. Voor de tekst op mijn kaart gebruikte ik de Thinlits Die Set Tag & Phrases. Ten slotte heb ik nog twee vlinders uitgeponst met de Paper Punch Butterfly Large. Ik heb de twee kleinste vlinders met de hand uitgeknipt en die op de geponste vlinders geplakt om ze een 3D-effect te geven.

I hope your weekend has been wonderful so far. 

Last week has been the first week of my summer vacation and I've really enjoyed some time off. I started crocheting, spent time with friends, cycled in the countryside and of course did some scrapbooking as well. Oh, how do I love summer break! :)

I can soon show you some new creations, but today I would like to first share a lay-out with you that was recently published in the Dutch magazine "Cards & Scrap". I scrapped our little 'tiger' Paco with Bo Bunny's gorgeous 'Safari' collection.

Ik hoop dat jullie tot nu toe een fijn weekend hebben gehad. 

Afgelopen week was mijn eerste week van de zomervakantie en wat is dat toch heerlijk! Ik ben begonnen met haken, ben dagjes weggeweest met vriendinnen, heb een paar fijne fietstochtjes gehad en heb natuurlijk ook de nodige tijd scrappend doorgebracht. Van mij mag het altijd wel zomervakantie zijn! :)

Binnenkort kan ik weer nieuwe creaties laten zien, maar in de tussentijd hierbij een lootje dat in het vorige nummer van "Cards & Scrap" is verschenen. Ik scrapte onze kleine 'tijger' Paco met Bo Bunny's "Safari" collectie.

At the moment I'm enjoying a long weekend off! Tomorrow it's King's Day, a national holiday in my the Netherlands. Really looking forward to that! The best part of King's Day is that there is a flea market, where I can often find some pretty scrappable things :) 

But in the meantime I didn't want to ignore my little blog, so I thought I would show you two cards that were recently published in a Dutch magazine: Cards & Scrap. They both feature Bo Bunny's gorgeous "Star-Crossed" collection, which is just perfect for romantic cards.

Wat heerlijk, hè: zo'n lang weekend! Hebben jullie ook zo'n zin in Koningsdag? Ik vind het altijd heerlijk om over de vlooienmarkt te struinen op zoek naar leuke dingen en soms zelfs mooi scrapmateriaal. Dus dat wordt morgen al vroeg uit de veren en met een lege tas richting Amstelveen :)

In de tussentijd wilde ik ook mijn blog niet verwaarlozen, dus heb ik nog twee kaartjes te laten zien die een tijdje geleden zijn gepubliceerd in Cards & Scrap. Op beide kaarten gebruikte ik Bo Bunny's mooie "Star-Crossed" collectie, die zich maar al te goed leent voor romantische kaarten.

IJskoud for Bo Bunny (Candy Cane Lane)

Hi there!

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend! My weekend was busy, but fun! I had a wonderful evening with friends on Friday, taught two workshops in a Dutch store on Saturday and spend today with my boyfriend and at my grandparents' house. There was not much time to spend on scrapbooking, but I'm looking forward to getting back to that tomorrow evening again :) 

Anyhow, I still have a lay-out to show you that I made some time ago for Bo Bunny. It was also published in the Dutch magazine Cards & Scrap. My lay-out is titled "IJskoud", which means "Ice cold" in English. I'm not at all into cold winter weather and am always looking forward to the first rays of sunshine in spring. That's what this winter lay-out is about.

Ik hoop dat jullie een fijn weekend hebben gehad! Mijn weekend was goed gevuld, maar vooral met leuke dingen! Vrijdagavond heb ik met vrienden doorgebracht, zaterdag heb ik twee workshops gegeven bij Essies en vandaag heb ik lekker rustig aan gedaan met Jeroen en ben ik nog even langs mijn opa en oma geweest. Voor scrappen bleef dus helaas niet zoveel tijd meer over, maar hopelijk kan ik het morgenavond na het studeren weer lekker oppakken :) 

Ik heb in ieder geval wel nog een lay-out van een tijdje terug te laten zien! Deze lay-out maakte ik voor Bo Bunny en is ook gepubliceerd in Cards & Scrap. Mijn lay-out is getiteld "IJskoud" en ik verwerkte er ook de vraag "Nice?" op. Met een vraagteken erachter, omdat ik niet bepaald fan ben van het koude, winterse weer. Geef mij maar het heerlijke lentezonnetje!

I framed my photo with a doily and a beautiful wood clock and arranged lots of doilies and stars around it. At first I wasn't quite sure about the large number of details and layers in this lay-out, but I think I kinda like the result now. 

Ik heb mijn foto geframed met een doily en een mooie houten klok. Verder heb ik een aantal uitgestanste doilies en sterretjes rondom mijn foto verspreid. Eerst vond ik mijn lay-out een beetje druk met alle laagjes en details, maar ik denk dat ik er uiteindelijk toch wel tevreden over ben.

The past few weeks have been crazy busy for me. It has been really busy at University. Besides, I have unfortunately received bad news from two friends of mine, so I'm trying to spend as much time with them as I can too.

Anyway, I didn't want to neglect my blog, so I thought I would show you a card that I have made some time ago for a publication in the Dutch magazine Cards & Scrap. I made this card with Bo Bunny's gorgeous "Pop Quiz" collection.

Today's blogpost will be a quick one, because it's bed time for me already ;) Tomorrow morning I'm heading to the airport with my boyfriend, because we'll spend the weekend in London. Woohoo, I simply can't wait! 

But before we'll fly away, I first have a card to show that was published in the Dutch magazine "Cards & Scrap" a few months ago. I used Bo Bunny's gorgeous Pincushion collection to make it.

Mijn blogpost voor vandaag zal een korte en snelle zijn. Het is hoog tijd om naar bed te gaan, want morgen moet ik weer vroeg uit de veren ;) Morgenochtend vlieg ik namelijk met Jeroen voor een lang weekend naar Londen. Ik kan niet wachten! Het is nog even hopen dat het weer meezit dit weekend, maar ook bij slecht weer vind ik het absoluut geen straf om in de Engelse hoofdstad te vertoeven ;)

An Oldie with Bo Bunny Isabella

The past few weeks have been crazy for me with regard to work for Uni. That's also why I didn't have much time to spend on scrapbooking. But I handed in the draft version of my bachelor thesis today and also managed to finish another huge assignment, so I can finally count-down the days until summer vacation :)

I will soon have some more recent cards and lay-outs to show, but in the meantime I would like to share with you an older Bo Bunny lay-out. It's a lay-out that I made for a publication in Cards & Scrap with Bo Bunny's amazing "Isabella" collection.

De afgelopen weken waren nogal hectisch op het gebied van mijn studie. Daarom heb ik ook niet zoveel kunnen scrappen als meestal. Maar daar komt hopelijk snel verandering in. Vandaag heb ik namelijk de conceptversie van mijn bachelorscriptie ingeleverd en daarnaast heb ik een andere grote opdracht kunnen afronden. Het aftellen van de dagen tot de zomervakantie kan dus eindelijk beginnen! :) 

Ik heb hopelijk snel meer recente lay-outs en kaarten te laten zien, maar in de tussentijd moeten jullie het met een wat oudere Bo Bunny lay-out doen. Deze lay-out is een tijdje geleden verschenen in Cards & Scrap en heb ik gemaakt met Bo Bunny's geweldige "Isabella" lijn.

Op deze zaterdag heb ik een lay-out te laten zien, die een tijdje geleden was gepubliceerd in "Cards & Scrap". Ik heb hem gemaakt met Bo Bunny's mooie "Pincushion" collectie.Wat een leuke papierlijn en van de lieve kleurencombinatie in deze lijn ben ik helemaal weg!

I simply loved the banners from the chipboard sheet and adhered the hearts banner on top of the flag banner. I also added some glitter glue to give it a shimmering look. 

Ik vond de vlaggetjeslijn en hartjesslinger van het chipboard vel zó leuk. Op deze lay-out heb ik ze op elkaar geplakt en onder de foto bevestigd. Sommige hartjes zijn nog versierd met glitterlijm.

Silver & Gold Publication in Cards & Scrap

Hi there!

I don't know about your country, but in Holland we haven't really had winter this year. It has hardly frozen and we haven't had any snowfall at all. To be honest I'm not that much of a winter girl, so I didn't really miss the cold weather. The only thing that I did miss were the gorgeous snow landscapes that are totally photo-worthy. But fortunately I still have some photos from previous year, so I did manage to get some winter lay-outs done.

Today I'm sharing a lay-out and a card that were published in the previous issue of the Dutch magazine Cards & Scrap. I used the gorgeous "Silver & Gold" collection from Bo Bunny for both. I actually  had two lay-outs and two cards published in this issue, so I will show you the other lay-out and card later this week. 

Hoi! 

Het lijkt echt wel alsof de winter ons land dit jaar heeft overgeslagen. We hebben geen sneeuw, nauwelijks kou en bijna geen ijzel gehad in ons koude kikkerland. Maar om eerlijk te zijn vind ik dat niet eens zo erg. Doe mij maar een lekker zomerzonnetje! Hoe minder koud, hoe beter! Wat ik wel heb gemist zijn de mooie sneeuwlandschappen die zich zo goed lenen voor een foto. Daar kan ik altijd zo van genieten. Maar ook daar valt een mouw aan te passen. Ik had gelukkig nog een aantal sneeuwfoto's van vorig jaar liggen, dus heb ik die gescrapt om toch in de wintersfeer te komen.

Vandaag laat ik een lay-out en een kaart zien die in het kerstnummer van Cards & Scrap zijn gepubliceerd. Ik heb voor beide de prachtige "Silver & Gold" collectie van Bo Bunny gebruikt. Mijn artikel bestond uit twee lay-outs en twee kaarten, dus later deze week zal ik mijn andere twee creaties nog laten zien.

I just love this happy photo of my grandparents. It really shows what beautiful people they are :)

This will be just a quick post before I am heading to school. This is another lay-out that I did for the article in the previous issue of Cards & Scrap. I just love these Bo Bunny C'est la Vie papers so much!

Voordat ik naar richting bus ga, nog even vlug een blogpost. Deze lay-out heb ik ook gemaakt voor het artikel in de vorige Cards & Scrap. Deze Bo Bunny C'est la Vie lijn is toch wel één van mijn favorieten! 

Also the new issue of Cards & Scrap has just been released. I have an article with the Bo Bunny Isabella collection published in it - another one of my favourite collections :)

Ook is het nieuwe nummer van Cards & Scrap net uit. Voor dit nummer mocht ik een artikel maken met de Bo Bunny Isabella lijn - een andere favoriet van mij :)

Bo Bunny C'est La Vie cards

Hi there! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Today I celebrated my first day being in my twenties. Seriously, I woke up this morning and just thought...20, that does sound pretty mature! When I was younger, I always thought 20 would be a nice age to get married and have children. Well, fortunately that hasn't happened yet. I love enjoying my youth a little longer ;) 

 Anyway, I have had a wonderful day with friends, some family visits and a lot of sweet e-mails and Facebook comments :)

Because the end of this term at University is coming close, things are pretty busy regarding my studies at the moment. Thus, I haven't got a lot of scrapping done lately. But I do have two cards to show you that I made for the previous issue of Cards & Scrap. I used the amazing Bo Bunny 'C'est La Vie' collection to create them. 

Hopelijk hebben jullie een heerlijk weekend! Het  zonnetje is eindelijk weer voorzichtig om de hoek komen kijken. Wie weet, wordt het toch nog een beetje lente! Vandaag was ook mijn eerste dag als twintiger. Ik stond vanochtend op en was toch even een beetje 'in paniek'. Jeetje, 20? Dat klinkt toch al best wel heel volwassen! Toen ik een jaar of acht was, riep ik altijd dat ik op mijn twintigste een man en twee kinderen wilde hebben. Nu ben ik alleen maar blij dat het nog niet zo ver is ;)

Anyway, ik heb een heerlijke verjaardag gehad met vrienden, familie en veel lieve mails en FB-berichtjes. Dankjulliewel voor alle felicitaties :)

Omdat het einde van dit schooljaar steeds dichterbij komt, is het momenteel nogal druk. Scrappen staat dan ook even op een wat lager pitje. Maar ik heb wel twee kaarten te laten zien uit het vorige nummer van Cards & Scrap. Ik heb de prachtige Bo Bunny 'C'est La Vie' collectie gebruikt om ze te maken. 

On my card above I also used some of the new Bo Bunny bling flourishes. Aren't they just gorgeous!

Op de kaart hierboven heb ik ook de nieuwe bling swirls van Bo Bunny gebruikt. Zijn ze niet prachtig?

Winter lay-outs with Easter & New publication

Happy Easter! I hope you will have a lovely day with your loved ones!

Usually Easter means one of the first sunny days of the year, but this year we have a rather cold Easter in Holland.  So I thought that made a good excuse to show you two winter lay-outs that were published in the Dutch magazine 'Cards & Scrap' some time ago ;)

Als eerste wil ik jullie hele fijne Paasdagen toewensen! 

Normaal valt Pasen op één van de eerste zonnige dagen in het jaar, waarop je soms zelfs 'met zonder jas' naar buiten kan. Maar helaas, de lente laat wat langer op zich wachten dit jaar. 

Ik vond deze koude Pasen in ieder geval een goed excuus om twee winterlay-outs te laten zien, die ik voor het vorige nummer van Cards & Scrap heb gemaakt. 

On this lay-out I used the gorgeous 'Powder Mountain' collection from Bo Bunny. I did a lot of layering and used gesso to create white accents on some of the details on my lay-out. 

Op deze lay-out heb ik gewerkt met de mooie "Powder Mountain" lijn van Bo Bunny. Ik heb weer veel met laagjes gewerkt. Met gesso heb ik een aantal embellishments van witte details voorzien.

My second lay-out features the other new winter collection from Bo Bunny: 'Snowy Day'. I just love the warm colours and the cosy feel to these papers.

Voor mijn tweede lay-out heb ik gebruik gemaakt van de andere winterlijn van Bo Bunny: 'Snowy Day'. Een prachtige lijn met mooie warme kleuren!

On the left side of the photo I used a dimensional sticker and layered a chipboard sticker and resin bird on top of it. To keep my lay-out balanced I incorporated a rub-on tree on the right side of the photo. 

Links van mijn foto heb ik een 3D sticker geplakt. Ik heb hem nog iets meer 3D gemaakt door er een chipboard frame en een resin vogeltje op te plakken. Rechts van de foto heb ik een rub-on boom verwerkt. 

The new Cards & Scrap issue is on sale now and I am so excited to have two lay-outs and two cards published in it. So excited about that! It still feels pretty unreal to see my own work published in a magazine. 

De nieuwe Cards & Scrap ligt nu in de winkels. Er staan twee lay-outs en twee kaarten van mij in dit keer. Zo gaaf, ik vind het nog steeds best wel onwerkelijk om mijn eigen werk terug te zien in een tijdschrift.
